The difference of organic by neglect and expanding the global agriculture into Regenerative Organic Agriculture. Recently launched ROC certification, that Dr. Bronners spearheaded with other ethical brands such as Patagonia. It’s really a standard that mandates what you should be doing in your farm, not just choosing better “than no pesticides” but going deep into Focus on the education of farmers in these communities, to develop practices such as composting, cover cropping, mulching, and other regenerative organic methods that build up soil fertility and organic matter.

Gero shared some stories about soil making and management from Canada, to Sri Lanka, Palestine, Ghana, Germany and many other countries on the planet.

How Gero & David met through their love and knowledge around Hemp and the diverse soil and crop approach.

David shared insights into the Cannabis market, and why Organic Cannabis doesn’t (yet) exist in the legalized US market. Check out his consumer facing standard SUN and EARTH on that note.

Ep. 263 Ocean Talks with Jeremy McKane | Planet Positive Series
Planet Positive Thumbnail (1).png

Jeremy McKane is an Artist with a passion for the environment. His focus has been directed on Ocean issues for several years. He's an active Explorers Club Member and CEO of OCN.ai, an autonomous network of marine robots that automate enforcement at sea.

In Jeremy's own words, "my passion is the oceans and I feel that we don't give them the focus that they need. I thought about this years ago when I first walked up on one of the most polluted beaches I had ever seen. The sad part about it was that there was not any people for hundreds of kilometers yet the evidence of mankind was everywhere.

Some of my work its pretty evident that I'm focusing on marine life but you might wonder what place people or kids have to do with conservation. My hope is that we introduce kids and adults not just to the ocean but water. Teach them how to swim, how to snorkel or even dive! Once you step into blue, you are forever changed.

Every second breath of air we take in right now comes from the ocean. Why don't we do ourselves a favor and start making efforts to protect what little we have left. Because it's definitely worth it!"

Please join us for Planet Positive weekly wisdom and opportunities, Tuesdays at 9am Pacific, for an exclusive look at the people and technologies addressing our greatest challenges and enabling humans to thrive in harmony with Mother Earth.

Ep. 259 Investing in the Caribbean today | Planet Positive Series
Planet Positive Thumbnail (9).png

Blue Mahoe Capital Partners Inc. is a private investment firm focused on providing investors access to the emerging economies of the Caribbean region and under-represented founders in the United States.

“Be intentional about leaving something positive in every single person that you meet. You never know the impact it can have when you make somebody smile or make somebody think. So be intentional about that. Positive vibes only.” - David P. A. Mullings

Island Forward:

Founder David Mullings and team are optimistic about the long-term growth prospects of emerging markets but too few investors have exposure to Jamaica and other Caribbean countries. The combination of a rising consumer class, ongoing structural and economic reforms, and a number of well-run businesses in the region provide attractive opportunities as these economies transition from low-value-added, labor-intensive manufacturing and extractive industry economies to ones more built on services, entrepreneurship and consumerism.

Ep. 256 Guru Singh: Quantumplation at the Turn of the Ages
GPBP_ Thumbnail_ (9).png

A conversation at the turn of the ages. A new time arising. A time we have come here for.

A Quantumplation with Guru Singh

Electric, vital, and vibrant, Guru Singh is a celebrated third-generation yogi, master spiritual teacher, author, and musician who gracefully brings ancient spiritual practices and philosophies into the now with ease, humanity, humility and a healthy dose of humour. Which I got to experience during a week long Mens Event in the summer of 2019, and have an ongoing gratitude in my heart. Guru Singh fuses Eastern mysticism into Western pragmatism in an accessible and transformative way, I am truly excited for this episode with Guru Singh who’s eloquent insights and conversations inspire the minds, hearts and souls of  many!

We talk about:

The Future is collaborative. Rebuilding the eco-system. The migration of the Yogic teachings, how he is a 3rd generation Yogi. Being born with the teachings of Yogananda around him. Aka Eats meets West.

Guru Singh references Buckminster Fullers worldview on a plethora of solutions present in the world as it is, growing into 2021.

We talk about the banking system of the trees, and the natural intelligence in all life around us.

The Bhavishya Purana, that means "future" and implies it is a work that contains prophecies regarding the future.

With these words I hope you enjoy the episode with  Guru Singh
