John Dennis Liu is a film-maker and ecologist. He is also a researcher at several institutions. In January 2015 John was named Visiting Fellow at Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO) of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences as well as  Ecosystem Ambassador for the Commonland Foundation based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

In 2017 John Liu founded Ecosystem Restoration Camps, a worldwide movement that aims to restore damaged ecosystems on a large scale.

His movies and films document large-scale ecosystem restoration projects around the world. Recently featured in KISS THE GROUND, streaming on Netflix and the Age of Nature on PBS millions about regenerative action and the state of the world.

Born in Bahrain and raised in Austria, Max is the embodiment of a global citizen. After returning to his homeland, the UK, to live for the first time, he went on to earn a Physics masters from Warwick University. A budding astronaut until then, he turned his attention to entrepreneurship after reading an autobiography by Richard Branson. Between missing lectures and drinking far more than was good for him, he became a founding member of the Warwick Entrepreneur’s Society. After graduating, and a meek attempt to start a fitness food brand, he scraped together the funds to travel the world with a friend, visiting 14 countries in five months and sometimes surviving on less than 5 dollars a day. On his return, the European Space Agency offered him a job as a System Engineer in the Netherlands. His old passion for space exploration re-kindled, he took the job and founded Skytree two years later. Physicist at heart, Max loves to scuba-dive, box, write, play tennis, think up new business ideas and pet dogs. His innate desire to help people and improve society’s state remains the core driver of everything he does. Thankfully he’s supported by people for more capable than him, allowing him to be his best self.

William "Bill" Becker is the Executive Director of the Presidential Climate Action Project (PCAP), a nonpartisan foundation-funded initiative that has worked for the past 13 years with many U.S. and international thought leaders to develop ideas for presidential leadership on climate change and America’s transition to a clean energy economy. Todays guest is Derrick Emsley founder of TenTree A Tree Planting Business - Drives Progressive Fashion.

At 16, Derrick and his brother founded a tree planting company that was meant to capitalize on the future of sustainability: carbon offsetting credits. They planted over 150,000 trees while selling carbon offset contracts that totalled over $1 million.

While carbon offsetting ended up not being the future, this experience was just the beginning of his tree planting journey. During college Derrick worked with his fellow co-founders to start TEN TREE, an apparel company that plants ten trees for every piece of clothing sold. So far, the company has planted right around 50 million trees - providing local jobs, food security and environmental benefits.
