Ep154_SquareBanner_Eyoalha.jpg

She is best known for her 6 year Jump for Joy Photo Project which started in 2012, photographing thousands of people from all walks of life to capture and share the energy of joy, and creating several large-scale public art murals with her images, uplifting people around the globe.

During the summer of 2019, Eyoalha began developing her new passion and genre of work which she calls - Light realm Photography - showcasing yet another side of her continually evolving creative expression working with the energy of light, taking her photography to new realms using the dynamic forces of energy, breath, movement and sunlight to create otherworldly and uniquely original images.

Ep. 153 MakeSoil, a movement to regenerate the Planet with Josh Whiton

Josh Whiton is an impact entrepreneur blending technology and business with active care for the planet. The companies, projects, and planetary interventions he serves aim to harmonize society with nature, catalyze a regenerative economy, and elevate human consciousness.

Regenerate The Planet

We need to start regenerating the planet, rather than simply consuming it as a raw material. Our society produces an enormous amount of food waste. Currently, nearly all of it goes to landfills where it rots, releasing CO2 and methane — an even worse greenhouse gas. When instead we turn that food waste into soil, the carbon and nutrients go into the ground, sequestering carbon, while producing the topsoil our food system depends on.

More about Josh: The Projects he created include the transit-tech company TransLoc, for which he was named a Champion of Change by the White House. TransLoc was #5 on Fast Company's list of the most innovative companies in transportation and was recently acquired by the Ford Motor Company. Josh also co-founded one of the first urban farms in the southeastern United States, helping thousands of people each year to participate in a more beautiful food system. His latest intervention is MakeSoil.org

Ep. 152 Julian shares about his experience at Davos2020 - interviewed by Simon Fyall
Jane Goodall.jpeg

In this episode Julian sits down once again with Simon Fyall, and shares about his experience in Davos2020.  Julian shares about his favorite experiences during this powerful week, during which: Marc Benioff , CEO of Salesforce declared that “capitalism as we’ve known it is dead,” and called for higher taxes on the wealthy. The range was broad: At an event titled “2030,” Lucian Tarnowski and his cohort predicted a new golden age of human thriving following various radical changes, such as the overcoming of material wants and broader use of psychedelics for emotional health. And in an official nod to the revolutionary spirit, the World Economic Forum itself, which runs the show, released a new “Davos Manifesto,” for the “fourth industrial revolution.”

Among Julians favorite experiences were:

- The GreenDebate at Hotel Seehof

- Salesforce Lunch and Panel with Jane Goodall, Will I am and others

- Remember 2030 party at #Blockbase

Here is an article in the New York Times about this Remeber2030 Event during which Julian offered a Breathwork and Meditation: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/23/opinion/sunday/davos-2020-capitalism-climate.html

The Green Debate, organised by In-Events, did bring together forward-thinking executives and CEOs who share a common interest in sustainable business and development. Panel participants included Erika Karp, Founder and CEO of Cornerstone Capital Group; Ibrahim Al Husseini, CEO of Full Cycle; Thimo V. Schmitt, Director of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability at Aurora Europe;

For context, here is an overview of what the official WEF agenda was for 2020:

The Programme for the Annual Meeting did prioritize six key areas:

Ecology: How to mobilize business to respond to the risks of climate change and ensure that measures to protect biodiversity reach forest floors and ocean beds.

Economy: How to remove the long-term debt burden and keep the economy working at a pace that allows higher inclusion.

Technology: How to create a global consensus on deployment of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and avoid a ‘technology war’.

Society: How to reskill and upskill a billion people in the next decade.

Geopolitics: How the ‘spirit of Davos’ can create bridges to resolve conflicts in global hotspots. Informal meetings to set kickstart conciliation.

Industry: How to help business create the models necessary to drive enterprise in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. How to navigate an enterprise in a world exposed to political tensions and driven by exponential technological change as well as increasing expectations from all stakeholders.
